The packaging industry must align with the energy sector by reducing waste, hence minimizing packaging (sustainability), offering maximum performance with a minimum of material (efficiency), and presenting a virtuous life cycle from cradle to grave (renewable, recyclable, and compostable origin). This is what Cilkoa proposes: adding a few atoms to papers or cardboard to enable the packaging of items that are currently reserved for plastics, aluminum, or glass.
