Description
Dr. Abdelmadjid Hihi is deputy to the Head of the Department of Technologies for Innovation in Health at CEA-Leti, in charge of clinical innovation. As a member of Leti's Internal Scientific Council, he is responsible for coordinating public-private partnerships with academic and industrial collaborators in France and abroad, focusing in particular on the development of non-drug therapeutic solutions to treat neurodegenerative diseases, as well as the development of neurotechnologies to benefit people with severe motor disabilities or who have suffered a stroke. Before joining Leti, Madjid worked at Génome Québec as head of scientific programmes and at Chronogen Inc (Montreal, Quebec) as R&D Group Leader. He previously conducted post-doctoral research at McGill University's Biology Department on the genetics of ageing. Madjid holds a PhD in biological sciences from the University of Lausanne.
