Description
A graduate of Télécom Paris, Mehdi Houas began his career at Alcatel and then IBM before co-founding Valoris and then Talan. Committed to diversity and inclusion, he served as Minister of Trade and Tourism in the Tunisian transitional government in 2011, and then chaired Talents du Numérique from 2022 to 2024. After chairing the trade association's "Finance & Taxation" and "Industry" committees, he was elected president of Numeum in July 2026. He has three priorities: supporting the transformation of other sectors, fostering the emergence of European digital champions, and promoting a responsible third way, based on trust and values, between Europe and Africa.
