IRAM operates two observatories: NOEMA, the interferometer at Plateau de Bure in the French Alps, and a 30-meter telescope located at Pico Veleta (Spain). These two observatories are among the most advanced radio telescopes in the world.

An Electronics or Electrical Technician
Job Description:
Attached to the Frontend group, your main tasks will be as follows:
Assistance in assembling instruments
Support in the design/construction of various electronic systems
On-site support during installations
Maintenance, repairs, and updates of equipment and instruments on-site
This job will involve missions to the NOEMA observatory, particularly during antenna maintenance periods and installations of new instruments.
Profile Required:
DUT or BTS in electronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent
Experience in electronic wiring
Experience in designing printed circuit boards
Knowledge of electronic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope)
Familiarity with RF instruments would be a plus (VNA, spectrum analyzers)
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, LabView, etc.)

Strong interpersonal skills
What we offer:
Full-time permanent contract
13th-month bonus and other specific bonuses
Salary: €32,000-37,000 depending on profile and experience
