More information. Inria’s headquarters are in Rocquencourt, and the institute operates across nine research centers. The Lyon Centre specializes in software, distributed and high-performance computing, embedded systems, quantum computing, digital privacy, as well as digital health and biology. Context: We are looking for a Partnerships and Innovation Projects Officer (CPPI) primarily dedicated to developing Deep Tech start-up creation. The CPPI will work within the STIP service, collaborating closely with: • The national Inria Start-up Studio program managers • Other CPPI officers working on start-up creation at other Inria research centers • The General Delegation for Innovation (DGD-I), which oversees the Inria Start-up Studio at the national level Additionally, this role will be integrated into the Lyon innovation and research ecosystem, requiring strong collaboration and coordination. Hierarchical reporting: Head of the STIP Service Mission and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of the "Transfer, Innovation & Partnerships" (STIP) service at the Inria Lyon Center, the CPPI officer will be responsible for: • Raising awareness, motivating, and supporting scientists from Inria Lyon’s 17 research teams in creating Deep Tech start-ups • Assisting in the formation of project teams, which may involve seeking participants outside Inria and the academic research community • Helping define the start-up’s business model, preparing the project, and providing support throughout the start-up creation process This mission will be supported, starting in 2025, by a dedicated start-up creation space at the heart of the LyonTech-la Doua Campus, within the I-Factory—a building designed to foster innovation in all forms. The I-Factory: • Covers 6,500 m² of modular and collaborative spaces • Brings together academic and socio-economic stakeholders • Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and multi-use workspaces Required Skills and Knowledge: Required Level: BAC+5 or equivalent Desired Experience: 3 to 5 years • Understanding of the start-up ecosystem and various funding mechanisms • Knowledge of the regional economic landscape, key national and international players in digital technology, and innovation stakeholders • Expertise in innovation marketing • Background in digital sciences (through education or professional experience in a relevant field) • Experience in research (such as a PhD) is a plus • Fluency in written and spoken English Additional Information: Benefits: • Subsidized meals • Partial reimbursement of public transport costs • Paid leave: 7 weeks of annual leave + 10 RTT days (full-time basis) + additional authorized absences (e.g., sick children, relocation) • Flexible working arrangements, including up to 90 remote work days per year (excluding interns and apprentices) • Social, cultural, and sports benefits (Inria Social Works Association) • Access to professional training • Employer contribution to health insurance (subject to conditions) General Information: • Contract : Permanent contract or mobility between civil services - Location : Villeurbanne • Start Date: 2025-09-01 • Application Deadline: 2025-07-12 Contact Information • Inria Team: STIP-LYS • Recruiter: Arthur Villessuzanne – arthur.villessuzanne@inria.fr
