The Lyon Centre specializes in software, distributed and high-performance computing, embedded systems, quantum computing, digital privacy, as well as digital health and biology.
Context:
The Lyon Center is looking for a work-study student to replace the previous apprentice whose contract is coming to an end. This position is part of the ongoing development of the HR department, which continues to grow alongside the center. The new apprentice will support HR activities and contribute to the expansion of the team.
As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, your main role will be to assist the Human Resources Department in its daily administrative management and support HR officers in various areas such as training, recruitment, occupational health, quality of work life (QWL), and HR campaigns.
Responsibilities will be adjusted based on the apprentice’s ability to adapt and learn. Tasks will be carried out directly with the HR Manager and HR officers.
Mission and Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
• Managing recruitment campaigns – Posting job offers with partners
• Contributing to employer branding efforts (attending job fairs, social media, etc.)
• Preparing the monthly onboarding process for new employees
Team Portfolio Management:
• Managing the assigned HR portfolio
• Establishing connections with managers and AER (HR reference persons)
• Overseeing the recruitment process
Administrative Management and Personnel Follow-up:
• Monitoring medical check-ups and administrative records
• Preparing administrative procedures for welcoming international scientists
• Managing multiple job holdings and ACE (External Activities Authorization) requests
Required Skills and Knowledge
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in an international environment
• English proficiency is a plus (A2-B1 level preferred)
• Ability to draft procedural documents
Soft Skills:
• Ability to work in a team
• Attention to detail and methodical approach
• Understanding of confidentiality in HR matters
• Autonomy and proactivity
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
