ALUMINIUM FRANCE
Aluminium France is the official organization representing the French aluminium industry in its dealings with public authorities, administrations and civil society. It brings together French producers of alumina and primary aluminum, primary transformation players (rolling, extrusion, smelting, forging), aluminum recyclers and refiners, and equipment manufacturers. In all, there are more than 60 plants with over 10,000 direct jobs and around 100,000 indirect jobs. 50% of France's aluminum production comes from recycling, with applications in strategic markets such as aerospace, defense and microelectronics, as well as indispensable applications in everyday life, such as packaging, automobiles, construction and connectors.
The industrial production of aluminum is a French invention, and the 3 R&D centers, which bring together over 500 research engineers, are world-class references.
