Université Grenoble Alpes - UGA One of the top 150 universities worldwide in the Shanghai ranking, rooted in its region, multi-disciplinary and open to the world, UGA is one of 8 French universities to have been awarded the "Initiative d'Excellence" (IDEX) label. Since 2020, the UGA has included 3 component institutions Grenoble INP, Institut d'ingénierie et de management-UGA, Science Po Grenoble-UGA, Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble ENSAG-UGA and 3 academic components Faculté des sciences-UGA, Ecole universitaire de technologie-UGA, Faculté Humanités, santé, sport, sociétés-UGA. 59,000 students, including 10,000 international students and 3,000 PhD students, and more than 10,400 staff are spread across several campuses, mainly in Grenoble and Valence. The national research organizations CEA, CNRS, INRAE, Inria and Inserm are working even more closely with Université Grenoble Alpes to develop a joint research and development policy on an international scale. Relations with IRD and CHU Grenoble Alpes are also encouraged.
