An event imagined by
IRAM - Institut de RadioAstronomie Millimétrique
IRAM is an international research institute and Europe's leading center for millimeter-wave radio astronomy. Our headquarters are located in Grenoble, France.
We employ over 120 scientists, engineers, technicians and administrative staff from more than 10 different countries.
Thanks to our research laboratories, we are developing cutting-edge technologies that give us access to the most important instruments in the northern hemisphere:
- NOEMA, with its 12 15-meter antennas, is located on the Bure plateau in the French Alps.
- The 30-meter telescope is located at Pico Veleta in Spain's Sierra Nevada.
During two days, we'll explain how radio astronomy is enabling us to make more important scientific discoveries, and how we're contributing to our understanding of the formation of the universe and life on earth.
