Description
Antoine Tesnière is a French professor of medicine, teacher-researcher and entrepreneur, specialising in the management of crisis situations and public policies for innovation in healthcare. A professor of medicine specialising in anaesthesia and intensive care at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital, Antoine Tesnière is heavily involved in research and training issues, areas in which his expertise is internationally recognised. A long-standing enthusiast for innovation, entrepreneurship and digital technology, he co-founded and directed iLumens, the first innovative healthcare simulation department to be developed in France, within the University of Paris.
From 2016, in parallel with his hospital and university activities, he became involved in public policy. Initially a health and scientific adviser to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in March 2020 he joined the cabinet of the Minister of Health and was also appointed deputy director of the Prime Minister's inter-ministerial crisis centre to coordinate the fight against Covid-19. In April 2021, he was appointed Director of PariSanté Campus on the joint proposal of the Ministers for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and Solidarity and Health. More recently, he founded French Care with BPIFrance, with the aim of bringing together all the players in the healthcare sector, facilitating synergies and accelerating innovation to improve the healthcare system.
