Description
Philippe Maître has been Vice-President of Research at ENS Paris-Saclay since September 2020. A CNRS research director, Philippe Maître has been involved in the structuring of Université Paris-Saclay. He created and directed the Paris-Saclay Chemistry-Physics Federation (2012-2015), and was Director of the Institute of Physical Chemistry (Paris-Saclay University / CNRS) from 2015 to 2019. An alumnus of ENS Lyon (Saint Cloud - class of 1984), Philippe Maître is an agrégé in chemistry and a specialist in physical chemistry, a frontier discipline par excellence. His research ranges from quantum chemistry to experimentation, with the aim of adding a structural dimension to mass spectrometry, in particular to speed up the identification of biomarkers of metabolic diseases.
