Description
Fabrice Lemoine has been Professor of Energy at the University of Lorraine since 2004. Between 2009 and 2017, he was director of the Laboratoire Énergies, Mécanique Théorique et Appliquée (LEMTA), a research laboratory attached to the Université de Lorraine and the CNRS. His research speciality is heat and mass transfer in two-phase flows applied to energy transfer processes. Since July 2022, he has been Vice-President of the University of Lorraine in charge of European strategy. Since 2019, he has been the director of the Erasmus Mundus international master's programme "Decentralised Smart Energy Systems", funded by the European Commission in partnership with three other European universities (Sweden, Italy and Spain), a programme of excellence dedicated to energy systems that massively integrate renewable energy sources.
Since 2021, on behalf of the CNRS, he has been co-director with IFPEN of the PEPR SPLEEN, a vast national research programme on the decarbonisation of industry, driven and funded by France 2030. He represents the University of Lorraine in the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), and has collaborated with the European University Association (EUA) on several roadmaps dealing with European policies on energy and the environment. Since 2024, he has been a member of ADEME's scientific council.
