Description
A graduate of the University of Kiel in Germany, Yassine Lakhnech is a Professor at Grenoble Alpes University, specializing in program verification and provable security, and the links between logic and computational models. He has been involved in the construction of several structuring projects on the site, including the Labex Persyval-lab, the PILSI (IMAG) campus operation and the Université Grenoble Alpes excellence initiative. He has also held a number of positions in education, including deputy vice-president of research at Université Joseph Fourier (UJF), vice-president of research at UJF and executive director of the research and development component of the IDEX initiative.
In January 2020, Yassine Lakhnech was appointed President of Université Grenoble Alpes, which now comprises 3 constituent institutions: Grenoble INP, Institut d'ingénierie et de management-UGA, Science Po Grenoble-UGA, Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble ENSAG-UGA and 3 academic components: Faculté des sciences-UGA, Ecole universitaire de technologie-UGA, Faculté Humanités, santé, sport, sociétés-UGA.
On January 11, 2024, he was elected President of the Grand établissement Université Grenoble Alpes for a 4-year term.
Yassine Lakhnech also sits on the Board of Directors of Udice, an alliance of 10 leading French universities committed to research excellence, higher education performance and the development of innovation ecosystems.
