Description

Gaëlle Calvary is Professor of Computer Science at Grenoble INP - UGA, the engineering and management institute of the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), specialising in human-system interaction. Trained as a software engineer, she worked for Thales for eight years before moving into higher education and research. Since 2016, she has been combining her two career paths, private and public, in a number of missions and political mandates at Grenoble INP - UGA and the UGA. In particular, she was responsible for the UGA's responses to national calls for proposals for Maturation - Pre-maturation and University Innovation Poles (PUI). She is currently Vice-President of Innovation and Enterprise at Grenoble INP - UGA, and coordinates the Grenoble Alpes PUI for the UGA. She is developing the synergy between higher education and research for innovation. She is working on the issues of fostering a culture of innovation among students and connecting them to public research for innovation. The development of critical thinking around impact with the "Right tech & Tech right" and the creation of an incubator serving students and linked to public research are examples of the transformations she is leading to contribute to the success of the Grenoble Alpes PUI.
