Description
Timothy Warner is Scientific Director at Constellium, responsible for the development of knowledge and skills at Constellium's R&T centre (Voreppe, Isère). During his 35 years' experience in the aluminium industry, he has contributed to all stages of research and development, from the early stages of innovation through product development with customers to the industrialisation of new technologies. He is the inventor of more than 35 patents, many of which relate to products that have been successfully qualified and put into commercial use for the main components of a commercial aircraft. He contributed to the industrialisation of Constellium's Airware® technology (Al-Cu-Li alloys). In 2016, he received a medal from the Académie française de l'air et de l'espace for this technology. In 2020, he received the Sainte Claire Deville medal from the Société Française des Matériaux for his contributions to the understanding of microstructure-property relationships.
