After training as an engineer and scriptwriter, Jonathan Werber developed a passion for writing and stories that help us understand an era and a world. His first novel, Là où les esprits ne dorment jamais (Plon, 2020), dealt with spiritualism and illusionism in the 19th century. His second, Les Enfants de la discorde (Robert Laffont, 2022), told the true story of the man who avenged the Vendée during the Revolution. These two thrillers made his reputation, not least because of his mastery of surprises. A talent is born.
