Description

An engineer at heart and an entrepreneur and creative CFO in the act, Raphael has been living his aspirations to help transform businesses by connecting hearts and minds and helping others become their best selves. His mission is to shake things up, bringing in fresh thinking and unique viewpoints into the current zeitgeist. Raphael began his career at Deloitte Consulting in France in 1998. In 2002, he joined The Spiegel Group as Director of the Internal Consulting Team in Chicago, USA. He then served as Finance Director at Unilever and later as CFO for North America and Head of Supply Chain Planning at Bel Americas, leading Finance, IT, Supply Chain Planning and driving innovative strategies for growth. Raphael returned to Europe, Switzerland in 2012 as the Global Division CFO for Global Operations for Coty, where he played a key role in the company's global operations transformation and its IPO process. From 2016 till 2019 Raphael served as the Group CFO of Flavors Holdings (USA) and in 2019 he joined Bauer Media as the CFO and CEO & President (interim) of Digital Market Places Business of Bauer Media (Hamburg). In those roles, Raphael led IT and finance teams, managed mergers and acquisitions, established new entities, and guided teams through change and Covid-19 crisis. Since 2022 Raphael is the Group CFO and head of Strategic Sourcing, Legal & Digital Transformation at Weleda AG. In this leadership role he continually drives initiatives to transform Weleda into a high-performance and purpose-driven organization. Raphael and his wife have 3 sons (and a cat) and live in Terre Sainte, Switzerland where he volunteers for one of the largest Sport Association in Switzerland for youth and adults with more than 32 football teams. Raphael holds an MBA in Finance, Marketing and Strategy from Kellogg School of Management (Chicago), MSc Operations from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France) and MSc. Automation & Electrical Engineering from Institute National Polytechnique de Toulouse (France).
