The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, in the heart of the French Alps, is an international research centre at the leading edge of neutron science and technology. As the world’s flagship centre for neutron science, the ILL makes its facilities and expertise available to visiting scientists from all over the world.

The IT service has an internal Symfony application that manages reservations for measuring instruments at the institute. There is a demand from other scientific institutes to use this application, the main goal of this project is to modify the code to make it open source. The Symfony version of this project will need to be updated as well to reinforce security.
