Description
Benoit Lemaignan is a co-founder of Verkor and today Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board. A company he launched in 2020 to accelerate the development of a European low-carbon battery sector. At the helm of the company since its inception, in the role of its CEO between 2020 and 2026, he has secured over €3 billion in funding, built a team of more than 1,000 employees and overseen the establishment of the industrial sites in Grenoble and Dunkirk, right through to the delivery of the first products to Renault. As an entrepreneur and investor, he has contributed to the development of the European Battery Alliance within EIT InnoEnergy.
An aerospace engineer by training and an entrepreneur committed to the energy transition, he has co-founded several innovative companies, including Waga Energy, and held senior management roles in investment and renewable energy. He began his career at Airbus before joining Carbone 4.
